Caption playground
The caption playground edits a real Fine Caption SVS Recipe and its exact font stack, with live feedback on the words of your script.
What it is for
Caption styling is a Recipe, not a per-line override. The playground is where you tune that Recipe against real words: geometry, glyph and pill paint, karaoke highlighting, cue enter and exit behaviour, and the font stack the captions resolve against.
What you can change
1. Geometry
Position, anchor, width and height, line count and words per line — the box the captions live in.
2. Paint
Fill, stroke, shadow, glow, gradient and the background pill with its padding and radius.
3. Karaoke and emphasis
Which word is active, how the highlight travels (for example a wipe or trail), and the active box or underline treatment.
4. Timing feel
Cue enter and exit, lead and tail frames, and the response applied to the active word.
5. Font stack
The exact stack captions resolve against, including the fallback order that decides which glyphs render for CJK text.
Where it fits
The playground edits the same artifact your project uses: a caption Recipe inside an SVS stylesheet. Nothing it produces is a one-off — you copy the Recipe back into recipes/ and every future render uses it.
Chinese captions need three things set deliberately: a font stack that contains CJK glyphs, a smaller words-per-line value (CJK glyphs are wider), and per-character karaoke if you want the highlight to travel naturally.

常见问题
Is the playground a separate file format?
No. It edits a caption Recipe inside the SVS stylesheet your project already uses.
Do changes apply to future renders?
Yes, once you copy the Recipe back into the project — that is the point of tuning it here.
Does it help with Chinese captions?
It is where you set the font stack and words-per-line so CJK text renders correctly and stays readable.
