Hypit pricing explained: what is free and what is paid

The agent tooling is free and open source — you can run the whole workflow with your own keys and never pay us. The managed API is optional and credit-based.

The free part

The Hypit skill, the script surface, stylesheets, tracks, timing and rendering logic are open source (github.com/hypit-ai/hypit). Install with one command and run it with your own model providers — BYOK, no Hypit account, no per-seat fee.

The paid part

The Hypit API is a managed gateway in front of 20+ image, video, audio and music vendors. It exists so you can route generation through one key with one error format instead of integrating every vendor yourself. It is billed in credits.

Why the split

Structure is cheap to run and expensive to design, so we gave it away. Generation costs us real money per call, so it is metered. That is the whole pricing philosophy.

Step by step

  1. 1. If you already have model keys

Skip the API. Install the skill, declare your providers, and pay your vendors directly. Nothing about the free path is crippled.

  2. 2. If you want one key for everything

Use the API. Plans start at $9.90/month for 1,800 credits, and extra credits can be topped up.

  3. 3. If you only need structure

You can also run the workflow to produce the composition and script, then generate the pixels elsewhere. The composition is a file, not a service.

After this

The honest summary: teams that already integrate models pay nothing to us; teams that want one gateway pay for convenience and get metered generation.

FAQ

Can I use Hypit for free forever?

Yes, if you bring your own providers. The open-source path has no time limit, no seat count and no feature gate on the structural workflow.

What happens if my credits run out mid-job?

A job that cannot afford its next step fails with a 402 rather than silently degrading; credits are returned for failures on our side.

Is there a free trial of the API?

The Starter plan is the entry point at $9.90/month, and top-up packs are available if a month runs long.
